Signal processing for sensor systems (new course in 2026)
The course builds on bachelor-level courses in signal processing. This knowledge is taken one step further to give theoretical insight and practical experience in how to process and analyse signals from modern sensor systems, aimed at extracting information and suppressing noise and artifacts. The course follows a paractically oriented, method-based approach, central concepts are spectral estimation, digital filtering, quadrature signals, and Hilbert transform. All signal processing is done in the digital domain, but the connection to the physical reality with analogue signals is essential. The lectures are complemented with an extensive programming laboratory part, including real industry cases.
