Electronic Measurement Systems

It is an introductory course at master level dealing with sensor principles, interface circuits and associated modeling theory. It covers general operation, design, performance, and characterizations of electronic systems incorporating sensing devices. It includes the principles of sensing and design of various sensors, interface technology for sensors, and both digital and analog circuits for signal conditioning and processing.

Content:

  • Static and dynamic modeling of electronic systems for measurements
  • Noise in electronic systems
  • Fundamentals of different types of sensors
  • Integrated analogue and digital building blocks in electronic systems for sensing
  • Understanding of interface circuits for sensors
  • Basic Analog and Digital signal processing and noise description
  • Electronic systems for measurements in industrial applications, such as: vibration, rotation, optical sensing and ultrasonic sensing systems
