Materials for microelectronics
This course introduces fundamental materials used in microelectronics, including polymers, metals, ceramics, and semiconductors. It covers their physical properties such as mechanical, electrical, thermal, and optical characteristics, along with their reliability. Students will learn about material structures, phase diagrams, semiconductor physics, and the fundamental principles of materials selection based on these properties. These materials can be produced in laboratories or utilized in microtechnology and are widely used in microelectronics fabrication processes, making them relevant to the microelectronics and semiconductor industries.
